When John Barron retired in October 2014 the Stenhousmuir practice became the newest addition to the McFarlane Opticians family. The practice has been completely refurbished. The Stenhousemuir practice also now offers contact lenses. 

Iain McCall is resident optometrist in the Stenhousemuir practice.

Michael Nimmo provides professionally qualified dispensing services.

Stenhousemuir Reception Staff

Eilidh has worked in the Stenhousemuir practice since 2021. Amanda joined us in 2026. Amanda and Eilidh work a job share arrangement.

Eye exams are available all day on Tuesdays and every other Friday morning.

Directions and Parking

The Stenhousemuir practice is located in the town centre, not far from Asda. Free Parking is available at the health centre just 2 minutes walk away.

Opening Times:

•  Monday Open 9:00am-1:00pm, and 2:00pm – 5:00pm
• Tuesday Open 9:00am-1:00pm, and 2:00pm – 6:30pm (optometrist here)
• Wednesday Open 9:00am-1:00pm, and 2:00pm – 5:00pm
• Thursday Open 9:00am-1:00pm, and 2:00pm – 5:00pm
• Friday Open 9:00am-1:00pm, and 2:00pm – 5:00pm (optometrist here in morning every other week)
• Saturday Closed
• Sunday Closed
