Did you know 1.2 billion people worldwide can’t see properly to learn and earn simply because they need glasses? At McFarlane & Nicols we are committed to helping reduce that figure. We support a charity called Vision Aid Overseas. The charity no longer send second hand frames to developing countries. They send the frames and lenses for recycling, and in turn generate income to provide expert care to ensure that everyone, regardless of their gender, economic status and geographical location, has access to affordable eye care services and glasses.
So, how do we help?
We send all glasses handed in to our four branches to Vision Aid Overseas to recycle. We will accept any glasses regardless of where you purchased them or how old they are. If you or an elderly relative have a few old pairs no longer of use to you, please hand them in to any of our branches.
